The Plaintext Bureau is an interdisciplinary collective, a pseudo-start-up and research group analyzing the role of new media in the current crisis of communication, including the politics. The main goal of The Plaintext Bureau is to initiate a longterm exchange of knowledge between programmers and humanists, and to try to answer the question of how to promote objective content in a time of disinformation, interpretational abuse and rhetorical games. A material counterpoint to this ephemeral digital interventions is The Office in the Museum of Modern Art on Pańska street, an installation on order and transparency by Zuza Golińska.
For the duration of one working day (MONDAY, JUNE 4, 2018), from 10:00 am until 6 pm, Golińska, the author of the installation and Sielewicz, the curator of the program, will occupy The Office and shall respond to phone calls from the general public. They can be reached via the curator's extension telephone number. The conversation is scripted.
